2012 Ordering & Shipping Information for Hostas

Special Early Bird Sale.   

Orders received by May 1, 2012 and accompanied by payment in full (check or money order) may take an additional 10% discount.

Shipping and Conditions of Sale. 

Hostas will be shipped beginning in mid- to late May, as soon as they have emerged from the ground enough that we can pick out the nicest plants for you.  Terms:  full payment with order.  Iowa residents please add 7% Iowa state sales tax.  For UPS Ground Service, please add $14.00 shipping and handling plus 75 cents/plant over one plant.  For UPS Second-Day Air, please add $18.00 plus $1.25/plant over one plant. 

Minimum mail order $40.00 plant total plus tax and shipping; no minimum for pickup at garden.  All our plants are state-inspected and guaranteed true to name; however, we cannot be responsible for plants lost due to causes beyond our control.  If not satisfied, return them with original labels within 5 days for refund.  No orders accepted after Sept. 20, 2012.  Please note:  we no longer accept Mastercard and VISA.

Discounts for large orders. 

Orders of $100-$249.99 (plant total only, excluding tax and shipping) may take a 5% discount; $250-$499.99, 10%; $500 or more, 15%.  No discounts on specials.

Gift Certificates. 

Looking for the perfect gift for that gardener on your list?  Hostas, daylilies and other perennial plants are a gift that will give enjoyment for a long time -- and won't wind up in the next garage sale!  A gift certificate will allow the recipient to select exactly the plant or plants he or she wants.  We'll send a gift certificate (available in any amount of $25.00 or more), a current catalog, and your greetings for any occasion.  If you prefer, we'd be happy to make a selection for you, or we'll send you the gift certificate and catalog so you can present the gift in person.

Hosta Gardeners Special. 

If you’re new to hostas, let us send you a nicely balanced collection of our most popular hostas.  All plants will be individually labeled and will include a variety of contrasting leaf colors, shapes, and patterns.  Please specify whether you prefer an assortment of sizes of all small/mini or medium.  6/$35.00, 12/$60.00, 15/$75.00.

Rock Garden Special. 

We love the very small and miniature hostas.  These distinctive varities make cute, compact clumps that are perfect for a rock garden or for the front row of the hosta bed.  We’ll pick a balnced selection of leaf colors, shapes, patterns, etc.; plants will be individually labeled and all different.  6/$35.00, 12/$60.00, 15/$75.00.
